On behalf of the Australian Acoustical Society (AAS) and the International Institute of Noise Control Engineering (I-INCE), we are pleased to invite you to Adelaide, South Australia, for the 55th INTER-NOISE Congress, to be held at the Adelaide Convention Centre from 9\u201312 August 2026.<\/p>\n

The theme for the Congress, \u201cFrom the outback to the ocean,\u201d reflects the breadth of topics to be covered \u2014 from core issues in noise and vibration control to applications and challenges that are characteristic of remote areas. The program will feature oral and poster presentations, keynote and plenary addresses by leading researchers, and provide ample opportunity for thoughtful discussion with peers, catching up with friends and meeting new people.<\/p>\n

In addition to the technical sessions, the Congress will include a technology packed exhibition, site visits to regionally relevant facilities, and a range of networking opportunities \u2014 including a welcome function, conference dinner, and sessions supporting Women in Acoustics and early-career professionals.<\/p>\n

Located just west of Adelaide\u2019s city centre and alongside the Karrawirra Pari (River Torrens), the venue offers a convenient and state-of-the-art setting for our meeting. It is positioned within the city\u2019s Entertainment Precinct \u2014 with the Adelaide Oval at its heart \u2014 and is within walking distance of the university precinct and a wide range of accommodation options to suit various budgets.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n
