\nSession topics will include a legislative and policy update by the NOISE federal advocacy team, a discussion of the collaborative planning process in the Washington, DC region, a report on the federally mandated \u201cenvironmental streamlining\u201d regulations for runway construction, the future of federal noise mitigation funding, and establishing a new, more aggressive standard for noise mitigation. Other topics include: ‘hushkitted’ aircraft; the 75,000 lb. loophole for business jets; regional jets; helicopter noise; land use planning ‘buffer zones’; FAA Part 161; noise issues related to new runways; real estate disclosure notices in California; ‘general aviation’ airports; environmental justice; and aircraft flight tracking.<\/p>\n
